Opening Day Announcement
A few years ago, we experimented with a vegetable stand here at the Haven. Between weekend farmers markets, setting up and taking down tents, storing produce, and everything in between, the workload was simply too much. We stepped back for a bit and focused on a smaller footprint this past year at the Nicholasville Farmers Market.
For 2026, we’re opening at the Haven again. March 6, 1PM – 5PM. Mark your calendars!
We still can’t open every day, but we will be open for two-week periods, eight times a year. If you’d like to plan a visit, the full schedule is posted here. We’ll also continue at the Nicholasville Farmers Market on Saturdays from early May through October (9AM – 1PM). https://www.nicholasvillefarmersmarketky.com/

Early Spring Gathering – Saturday, March 21, 2026, 9AM – 6PM
This will be our first open-invitation gathering at the Haven. We’ll invite a few friends, and we’d love for you to join us as well. Expect hot coffee, cocoa, Wayward Haven Farm herbal tea blends, and a handful of early-season offerings. Come for a visit, a warm cup, and some conversation as we welcome the first day of Spring!
First Seed Starting Fest of 2026
January 21 is the first day since late November when there is more than 10 hours of daylight. For us, that means seed starting for early spring crops! This annual seed planting fest starts Thursday, January 22, and runs through February 3. This is a good time for us to start cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, and a variety of leafy greens and herbs.
